Bachert, Nicholas; Bachert, Anthony
This recap is taken from the Orphans Court Records in Columbia County, Pennsylvania.

The matter at hand is a suit filed by Anthony Bachert via one Jacob Rishel. The suit names the heirs of Nicholas Bachert, including the children of his deceased son Jacob.

One of the mysteries of this so far is "which Jacob Rishel?" It would not be hard to assume that this is likely the 2nd husband of Anthony Bachert's estranged wife, Catharine (Ebner) ((Bachert)) Rishel, who died either in late December of 1829 or very early January 1830. Her probate records begin in Orphan's Court records as early as 5 January 1830.

There is enough correlation between this document and the Frank Allaben report to Augustus E. Bachert some 70 years later to lead me to believe that Anthony was indeed the brother of the Michael Bacher buried at Zion "Stone Church" in West Penn, Township, Schuylkill County.
