Due to the amount of spam registrations we are receiving, I am changing the way that new registrations will be processed from 16 April 2009 onward.
1) I have closed all interactive applications (Bulletin Board, Picture Gallery, Gedcom Viewer) to new registrations.
2) To be included, email me directly at skadj@yahoo.com and I'll set up your account(s) and inform you that your account is active.
3) In your email to me include:
a) your desired user name, and
b) your desired password, and
c) the email address you want to have connected to the interactive programs here.
4) Once your account(s) are established, you then can log into the application and change your profile(s) on that application. Each application has its own registration and profile, so you may (or may not) choose to alter the basic profile as you'd like to share your personal information with others who are members here.
5) I'm not changing this to disallow those who have legitimate interest in the topics under discussion here. I am changing this to allow those of us who have legitimate interest to be free of sales pitches for products that we delete or rule into our spam filters on our own personal email boxes.
6) #5 does not mean that if you have a family business that connects to the topics in general here, that you are restricted from informing others about it. This may seem to open the door to established members to begin spamming. If that were to happen (and that has NEVER been a problem to date, and I'm not expecting it to become one) please remember that as site owner, I have the right to determine "appropriate content" here. ANY post may be edited or deleted by myself or other administrators as we see fit. ANY registration may be cancelled at any time.
7) My #1 purpose in providing this site is to allow people to discuss freely on any of the topics or topic genres I have included here. The only real restriction I have ever established is my desire to keep this discussion in a manner in which you wouldn't mind having your young children seeing. In other words, keep the process moving in a "family friendly" manner.
enjoy!
